Olivier Marcy

Olivier MARCY is an epidemiologist and researcher within the IDLIC (Infectious Diseases in Low Income Countries) team at the Bordeaux Population Health research centre, Inserm Center U1219, at the University of Bordeaux. In his work, he is involved as a clinician, programme coordinator and researcher in clinical and research work on the management of HIV infection, and TB-HIV co-infection in adults and children.

Dr. Marcy was employed as medical coordinator of the HIV programmes of the French Red Cross for three years in the Republic of Congo. He also worked in Cambodia for seven years, within the National Pediatric Hospital on French Red Cross programmes, as well as on research projects and access to antiretroviral treatment and multi-resistant tuberculosis with the Cambodian NGO Cambodian Health Committee. His current research focuses on the diagnosis and management of children with tuberculosis and on the issue of integrating care into the health system, as well as on tuberculosis HIV co-infection.
