African cities in 2030: multidisciplinary research to meet health, demographic, economic and political challenges
Taking place from May 31st to June 4th 2021, this online Bordeaux Summer School was open to graduate and doctoral students as well as professionals, and gathered 16 participants with a strong interest in the topic of development in Africa, and especially the unique challenges facing African cities, including: rapid urbanisation within a context of limited economic growth, threats resulting from climate change, uncontrolled road traffic and the expansion of polluting industries.
