Sustainable African cities: multidisciplinary research to meet health, demographic, economic and political challenges
Taking place from May 2nd to May 6th 2022, this online Bordeaux Summer School was open to graduate and doctoral students as well as professionals, and gathered 22 participants with a strong interest in the topic of development in Africa, and especially the unique challenges facing African cities, including: rapid urbanisation within a context of limited economic growth, increasing vulnerability to climate change, uncontrolled road traffic and the expansion of polluting industries.
