Tanguy Bernard

Tanguy BERNARD is a Professor of Development Economics, Agricultural Economics and African Studies at the University of Bordeaux. He is currently the Department head of the Theoretical and Applied Economics Research Group (GREThA) and a Senior Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).

Prof. Bernard's research focuses on agriculture and rural development issues, with particular interest in small farmers’ commercialisation of output through cooperatives, contractual arrangements, and rural spot markets. Most of his fieldwork is concentrated in Sub-Saharan Africa.
